Boxing Day

Happy Christmas and Boxing Day to those who celebrate it, Christmas not Boxing Day. If not, did you have a good weekend? We had a pretty good day mostly quiet and chill.

Originally we were supposed to have dinner on Christmas Eve but my mum is sick so we had to cancel our dinner plans and my sister was working last night at her caring job and my older brother went away for Christmas. But mum was fit enough to cook a small Christmas dinner.

Today is a day of total relaxation. I’m still in my Christmas pyjamas and we’ve sat and watched Christmas movies, shared a cheese box and ate chocolates. Ive also been doing a bit of reading, I was hoping to finish my books before the end of December but I probably won’t.

I’m not worrying about it too much, I don’t read to break records, I do it to relax!

Ive been feeling very tired lately but I’ve been trying to make time for myself wether that’s meditation or journaling. Also trying not to punish myself and forgive myself if I don’t do something perfectly or ‘on time’. And just mostly be kind to myself. I got a box of face masks for Christmas so I’ll be making great use of them! Also got some new art supplies and new canvases to paint on! Which I’m excited to try out.

Towards the end of 2022 I’m going to be focusing on my goals for 2023, focusing on my self care and my mental health. I’ll also be trying to be more present in the next few days before 2022 ends.

Mental Health will be my main focus in the New Year along with family (obviously) and of course being present and making memories!
