Weekly check in: Sunday 18/12/22

Q&A: How are you feeling this week?

I feel like I’ve been getting better sleep this week. My sister bought me a new mattress as an early Christmas gift and it’s much better for my body and muscles which get sore and stiff if I lay in one position for too long. I’ve also been making breakfast every morning instead of just sticking a slice of bread in the toaster for quickness. Today I made a vegan cheese and mushroom omelette. Although I woke up quite late today because we got in from the supermarket quite late last night.

How have you practiced self love this week?

Taking care of myself more. Eating more mindfully and healthy, I’m not snacking as much. I’ve also been meditating a lot more. When I wake up in the morning and before bed at night. I have also started taking care of my hair more I washed it on Thursday then wet it and put a conditioning mask on it yesterday and brushed it out. I’m going to wash it again on Monday. I want to try and keep it up this time because I need to keep my hair healthy and knot free.

What are your goals for the week ahead?

I need to go shopping tomorrow with mum. Because firstly I need to get my bracelet fixed because I can’t reconnect it when I tried to put my new link on it. I also have my sisters presents to wrap and my other sister still to shop for! I also need to get my prescriptions in before the surgery and pharmacy closes before Christmas.

Any resolutions for the New Year?

I normally aim ridiculously high for my New Year goals that I know I will NEVER achieve and then I feel bad. So this time I’m going to tone it down a bit and go small. Eat healthier, read more, save up for a holiday for mum and I. Take care of myself better. Be healthy and happy.

What are you most grateful for this week?

My mum! The kindness of others. My patience for this week. The fact that I have a roof over my head and some place warm to sleep every night and a loving family!

I Hope everyone has enjoyed my weekly check in. Be kind to yourself and love yourself! Have a great day and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it!
